On the day of World Heritage Day 2023, also known as International Monuments and sites day which is celebrated every year on 18 April. The main purpose of this day is to educate people about the importance and value of our cultural heritage and historic landmarks which are preserved for the future generation. The day was established by the international council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS) IN 1982, and it is recognized by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) as this day is celebrated to raise awareness of humanity’s cultural heritage and the necessity of protecting it for coming generations.
This day is intended to raise awareness of the value of cultural heritage, which includes historical sites, structures, monuments, and cultural landmarks.
